E-commerce store for food and delicatessen

Selling food online comes down to three things: freshness, cold chain and the delivery window. We build stores that plan shipping around those limits instead of pretending they do not exist.

What usually hurts in this industry

01An order ships on Friday after the pickup cut-offThe goods wait for the courier over the weekend. The customer receives a parcel they no longer want and the store absorbs the loss.
02Selling by the unit when goods are sold by weightFish, cheese or cured meat rarely weigh exactly what the product page promises. Settling the difference is done by hand on every order.
03Allergens in the description, not in the systemAllergen information is pasted into the text, so it cannot be filtered or updated in bulk when a supplier changes.
04No split between chilled and dry goodsOne order with frozen food and coffee ships in one parcel or two — and nobody plans it in advance, it gets decided while packing.

What the store does for you

01Shipping windows instead of "we ship daily"At checkout the customer sees the real dispatch day, calculated from the courier pickup time and working days. Orders after the cut-off roll over to the next window automatically.
02Selling by weight with difference settlementA product has a declared and an actual weight. After weighing, the store corrects the amount and the sales document without manual credit notes.
03Allergens as an attribute, not a paragraphAllergens are a product field: you can filter the catalogue by them, show a warning in the cart and update them in bulk after a recipe change.
04Splitting parcels by temperatureThe store splits the cart into chilled and dry parts on its own, picks the packaging and calculates the cost of each parcel separately.

What changes after launch

Fewer returnsCaused by delivery timingThe customer picks a shipping window, so goods do not leave on a day when they cannot arrive fresh.
No more top-upsOn goods sold by weightThe gap between declared and actual weight is settled in the system rather than by a transfer after the fact.

Questions we hear most often

How does the store handle fresh goods?

Through shipping windows. We set a cut-off time for each day and the days you actually dispatch. At checkout the customer sees a specific dispatch day, and orders placed after the cut-off roll over automatically.

We sell by weight. How is that settled?

A product has a declared weight and a price per kilogram. After weighing during picking, the system corrects the order amount and the sales document. The customer is informed about the correction before shipping.

Can frozen goods be separated from dry ones?

Yes. A product carries a storage temperature attribute, and the store splits the cart into separate shipments, picks thermal packaging and calculates the cost of each.

What about allergens and nutritional data?

They are product fields, not text in the description. That is what makes catalogue filtering, cart warnings and bulk updates after a recipe or supplier change possible.

How long does it take and what does it cost?

A standard store takes 2–4 weeks and starts at 6,500 PLN net. Complex logistics, ERP and marketplace integration are quoted individually, starting around 15,000 PLN.
